Linda graduated from Chattanooga High School class of 1970.She was employed by Provident after graduating. Linda Retired from Women’s Institute for Specialized Health. She joined the Greater St. John M.B. Church at an early age. Linda was a member of the S. R. Spence choir and a member of the Usher Board. She loved to watch game shows and had started watching the cooking shows. Her favorite place was being on the beach.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years,Carlton Richardson,and her father, Alexander Hill.
Linda leaves to cherish her memories, mother, Mrs. Willie Hill of Chattanooga TN; son, Sheldon (Iva) Richardson of Chattanooga TN; daughters, Dannielle (Otis) Lucas and Brittny Richardson, both of Chattanooga TN; sisters, Sherrie (Ronald) Williams, Lania (Willie) Jones and Jerasha (Felando) King, all of Chattanooga, TN; three grandchildren, Otis Lucas, Tranisha Lucas and Leandra Richardson, all of Chattanooga TN; five greatgrandchildren, Joshua Lucas, Nyla Lucas, Orren Lucas, Ja’Niya Jones and Di’Ovion Jones, all of Chattanooga, TN; aunt, Viola Hill of Atalla AL; uncle, Alonzo Copeland of Chattanooga, TN; step-daughters, Nikki (Andre) Geter and Alicia White; a host of other relatives and friends; special friends but like sisters: Janice Cameron and Betty Dixon.
A lie in state for Linda will be held Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services – Franklin-Strickland Chapel, 1724 Mccallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404. A funeral service will occur Friday, October 20, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Greater Saint John's Missionary Baptist Church, 4401 Ohls Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37410. A committal service will occur Friday, October 20, 2023 at 1:30 PM at Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37404.
