Leroy McCallie

He retired from Seaboard after 22 years of dedicated service.

Leroy was preceded in death by his longtime companion of 29 years, Omega Welbon who departed her life on April 18, 2022; brothers, Richard Griffin and Anthony Griffin; mother, Louise Griffin; and grandmother, Jessice Allison.

Those he leaves behind to cherish his precious memories are sons, Lawrence Person, Antwan McCallie and Damien McCallie; grandkids, Keke, Tyler, Tongeia and Kevin; his siblings, Jessica McCallie Ward, Jimmy Lee Griffin and Jerrelle Griffin; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Gone but not forgotten.

The family would like to thank the team of medical doctors and staff for the work they did to help Mr. McCallie during his time of need; we would like to say ‘Thank you’ for your patience and understanding. Also thanks to the staff of Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services-Franklin-Strickland Chapel.

Two Visitations for Leroy will be held, one on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM and on Sunday, July 24, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services-Franklin-Strickland Chapel, 1724 McCallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404.

Burial will be on Monday, July 25, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 2116 Shepherd Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
