Lee Shipley

He was preceded in death by his parents; Luther Lee and Hazel Shipley, sisters; Naomi Lee and Mildred Harris and great- granddaughter Finley Sorrells.

Lee was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church. He retired from Hamilton County and American Lava/ 3M Company. Lee was a veteran in the Korean War, having served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army. He was member of the Masonic Lodge in Ooltewah, Tennessee and the Antique Automobile Club of America. He loved to buy and sell cars.

Survivors include his loving wife; Ruthie Shipley of Ooltewah, Tennessee, sons; Randy Lee Shipley of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Steven Shipley of Ooltewah, Tennessee, grandchildren; Kassi, Amanda, Amika, Chrissy and Angela, great- grandchildren; Christopher, Taylor, Avery, Cash, Cael, Ava, Ashlyn, Weston and a great, great-grandchild, Bo.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2018 in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Chad Chandler officiating. Interment will be at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 22, 2018.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family will be setting up a college scholarship fund for his great- grandsons, Christopher and Taylor Swartout.
