Although she didn’t believe it, Laura was quite a beautiful girl. More importantly, she was kind, funny, generous, unassuming and compassionate; a delicate human being brimming with life and potential.
Sadly, and for reasons unknown, Laura was afflicted for much of her short life by rather severe bipolar disorder and its associated conditions. As too many people are unfortunately aware, this is a cruel and unpredictable disease that continuously produces in its victims a wide range of shocking, debilitating and devastating behavior.
Throughout her frustrating, sad and sometimes fierce battle with this sickness, Laura was loved unconditionally and supported unreservedly by her mother, Lydia, her father, Wayne, her brothers, Zack and Luke, her daughter, Ana Leise whom Laura loved beyond measure, and many other family members and friends.
In the end, however, our precious child could not overcome this disease. And as gut-wrenching and practically unbearable as Laura’s death was, her family rejoices in the knowledge that she is at last pain free, and is soaring with the angels, safe in the arms of her grandparents and great-grandparents; and nestled securely in the sweet embrace of her Savior. Oh Happy Day!
