He was the son of the late Raymond and Ruth Parker and was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert Parker, Don Parker and a step-son, Mack Prince.
Larry was born on December 20, 1946 in Chattanooga, TN. He co-owned and operated, along with two brothers, Omni Services, Incorporated located in Riceville, TN.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Kerr Parker, of Ooltewah, TN, two daughters, Tiffany Menzie, of Baton Rouge, LA, LeAnn Payne, of Ringgold, GA, four grandchildren, sister, Brenda Sosebee (Don), of Chatsworth, GA, three brothers, Terry Parker (Nancy), of Maryville, TN, Jerry Parker (Bernice), of Vonore, TN, Norman “Buz” Parker (Mary), of Hixson, TN, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral home with Rev. Wayland Stewart officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military rites being conducted.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, Forgotten Angels or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
