Karen Prouty, age 84, of Ooltewah, Tennessee passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023. She was born August 12, 1939 in Oak Park, Illinois. Karen worked as a human resource manager for Sunset House for 5 years.
She is preceded in death be her parents, Alfred and Lucille Burkell and sister, Gwen Pearsall.
Survivors include husband, Dale Prouty; sons, Kenneth (Donna) Prouty, Steve Prouty, Scott (Jackie) Prouty, and Robert Prouty; 5 grandchildren, Jon Prouty, Michael Prouty, Matthew Prouty, Alex Prouty, and Zach Prouty; and 4 great-grandchildren, Joshua Prouty, William Prouty, Emma Prouty, and Nick Prouty.
Karen will be laid to rest at Potomac Cemetery in Potomac, Illinois.
