She was a resident of Chattanooga for the past 27 years and was a member of Ridgedale Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. She and her husband William B. Harris moved to Chattanooga in 1988 to enjoy being a part of their grandchildren’s lives. She provided for William B. Harris and family while he served thirty years of service, he was a retired Master Chief of the U. S. Navy serving during both the Korean and Vietnam wars.
Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Swanger Loveless of Chattanooga; 2 grandchildren, Danielle Swanger and William Lee Swanger; and many nieces and nephews of Batesville, AR.
The family would like to send a special thanks to Hearth Hospice, as well as the many providers that had the chance to interact and care for Mrs. Jonnie over the years.
The family and friends will gather on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Chattanooga Funeral Home - East Brainerd Chapel from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. followed by graveside services at 11:00 a.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37404 with Dr. Doug Plumlee officiating.
