.Jewel Barnes, 82, of Ooltewah, TN, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015. A native of Copperhill, TN, she has been a resident of the Ooltewah area for the past 50 years. She was the daughter of the late Fred A. and Birdie Long Davis and was also preceded in death by her husband Hugh Lynn Barnes; three sisters and one brother. She was a member of the Collegedale Community Seventh-day Adventist Church and was retired from Bishop Baking Company with 40 years of service. Survivors include her daughter Linda Gill and her son Kenneth Barnes both of Ooltewah; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Davis, Copperhill, TN; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Collegedale Memorial Park with Pastor Dwight Herod officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Arrangements are by the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
