Jerry Wallace, 71, of Harrison, TN, passed away, October 7, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 20, 1948 in Lewiston, ME, and was the son of Heman Wallace and Irene Redmond Wallace.
Jerry joined the United States Marine Corps after graduating high school and served in the Vietnam War. As a young boy, growing up in a carpentry family he developed a love of woodworking. He could make anything from furniture to small crafts.
He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Marilyn Faye Hannan Wallace, daughter, Pam Risley (Daniel) Webb of Georgetown, TN, grandson, Zachery Risley of Harrison, TN; great-grandson, Fisher Risley of Taylorsville, GA, and numerous brothers, sisters, in-laws, nieces, and nephews. He was loved by all that were fortunate enough to meet him.
At Jerry's request, they will no viewing but a small, intimate celebration of his life at the Chattanooga National Cemetery at 11:00 am, Friday, October 16, 2020 with Chaplain Mike Justice officiating with full Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you graciously donate to Amedisys Hospice of Chattanooga.
Due to Covid-19, we request that mask be worn at all times at the cemetery and that all Hamilton County and the CDC’s mandates be adhered to.
