He was born in Camden, AR to T.G. and Lydia Hall on August 22, 1940. As a young boy he worked on his father’s farm. After his family moved to Rockford, IL, he met and married his wife of 62 years, Zula Mae Milsaps. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, stationed in El Paso, TX and served in Germany during the Cuban Missile Crisis. After returning home he worked as a tool and die maker at Elko for 17 years before moving his family to Chattanooga, TN in 1975. With no prior experience, he earned his degree as a Board Certified Hearing Specialist. During his 35 years of service he owned and operated Cleveland Hearing Aid and Audient Hearing Center, among others. During his career he was appointed by then TN Governor Haslam to serve on the TN Council Licensing Board. He loved sales and trading, never meeting a stranger. He was a loving father, protecting and providing for his family.
Jerry is survived by his wife Zula; son Jerry L. Hall Jr.; sister Judi (Mike) Kegel; many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Susan M. Hall; parents; sister Fran (Park) Jeffery and Rosalyn Bell.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Valley View Chapel with the Rev. Buddy Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Tyner Cemetery.
The family will also receive friends on Tuesday from 12:30 pm until the time of the service at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
