The amount of friends that Jennifer had is a true testament to her beautiful soul. It’s easy to understand why God would bring her home so soon.  We will cherish each memory we had, but especially the Friday night tailgating and the delicious desserts.

I will miss running into her and rehashing our teenage years at Ooltewah High School, with Ooltewah Baptist youth group and then the college class at Woodland Park, or heckling Mocs football from the stands in the 90’s when we were students together at UTC, attending women's retreats with woodland park, and in MEMS (Mom’s Encouraging Moms) at Woodland Park. She was the most genuine person I knew. She never failed to ask about my girls or my mom and dad. I believe in the sovereignty of God, but it won’t make us miss her any less. I have pictures in my yearbook of us and where she signed my yearbook every year, but alas, they’re packed away. I’ll share this verse instead. 

I Thessalonians 4:13 “For we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, so that you do not grieve as do the rest who have no hope.”

Jennifer was such a good friend to me! We share so many memories of church college group, Nursing school, kids and families. I have so many memories with her laughter and gentle spirit. I most remember her smile and warmth to always bring comfort and friendship to me. She loved the Lord and her family so very much. I’m heartbroken at this loss we all will feel and especially for the loss for her sweet family. But, I have no doubt whatsoever that she is dancing on the streets of gold. 💖 A picture from our younger years🥰

Dear David, Rachel, Will and family, we are truly heartbroken over this season the Lord has allowed.  I had the privilege of meeting Jennifer at Statesville Bible Camp.  She has a most precious spirit and a smile to go with it!  While I didn't know her as closely as some, I feel I knew her best through her children.  At Bible Camp they displayed her generous and loving heart, as she so lovingly taught them to be.  Sadly, I cannot remove this from your lives, but we have committed to put you before the Throne of Christ many, many times and will continue.  Praying a hedge of peace, comfort and protection about each of you as the days, weeks, months, and years pass by.🙇🏻‍♀️🙇🏻‍♀️🙇🏻‍♀️. We love each of you and stand ready to help in any way possible💜

Jennifer was the sweetest, kindest, most thoughtful person I’ve ever met, and she died way, way too soon. 
It would be pushing it to say that we were friends. 
Will and my son JC are friends.  We did band together.  But she saw me.  She made a point of letting me sit with her when I was alone.  She was always smiling, friendly and kind. She noticed when my life was hard and I was struggling. We went out to lunch, and she encouraged, cared and prayed for me. She checked on me.  We were supposed to meet up again in the new year. But now she’s gone, and I’m broken for her son, for her daughter, her husband and her family.  
But I’m also grieving for me, that I didn’t get a chance to know her and to learn from her. 
I love you Jennifer Riley Marler. Thank you for being a friend to me. I know where you are, and I look forward to seeing you.

Jennifer was always so nice to me and was never without a beautiful smile on her face.  I usually ran into her at church on Wednesdays when I left my Bible Study group.
I think the last time I actually saw her was at an air show we were attending  for my husband’s birthday in Rome, Georgia.  We visited with her and her family that day.
I will continue to pray for her family that the Lord will comfort them as only HE can.

Jennifer was always nice to me and I appreciate the excellent meals/snacks  she prepared when David and I watched sports thru the years, especially those chocolate chip cookies!  She had a wonderful gift of hospitality. I am praying for all of you at this difficult time. 

Dear family of Jennifer, the words that come to mind for Jennifer are Sweet, Loving, Kind and Faithful. It was so good to know her in our Moms Encouraging Moms at Woodland Park. She was a long time member of the group and was on the leadership team.  She loved the word of God and had good words to share in her quiet kind spirit.  We will miss her terribly.

Jennifer was my dear and sweet friend!  I will always treasure her smile and deep and robust laugh.  

I was in a small group with her for many years and loved seeing her walk with Jesus grow deeper and deeper every year.  She was always quick to share her failures as well as her triumphs.  

She treasured her relationship with you, David!  How she wanted that to flourish!  She loved each of you so very deeply, Rachel and Will.  She was constantly striving to encourage you guys to be the best you could be and couldn’t wait to see what God would do in each of your lives.  I’m so thankful Rachel that you didn’t go off to college somewhere else and that you had more time with each other this year.

I loved sitting and having coffee with Jennifer.  We could always find so many things to share - I’m going to miss her!

I loved Jennifer. I got to know her when our kids attended Black Fox Elementary, and we would take walks together while our kids were in class. I have nothing but wonderful memories of her. She had a great personality and I always enjoyed being with her. I will miss her so much. -Kelly Garren

My eyes fill with tears as I write this. Jennifer was such a sweet person and she had such a calm way about her. She always had a smile on her face and she was there to help in any situation. I enjoyed getting to know her over the many years at Woodland Park. She will be greatly missed and we will be praying for the rest of the family during this difficult time.  We are comforted knowing she loved the Lord and is in His awesome presence.

I met Jennifer at our College & Career Beach Retreat with Woodland Park about 30 years ago, around 1992.  She was so easy to talk to and get to know.  We became instant friends.  She was always a good listener who cared deeply.  She loved the Lord and it was evident.  I am deeply saddened by this news and I am praying for David, Rachel, Will and the family.  She will be missed by many.  Thankful for the hope we share in Christ and that I have no doubt that I will see Jennifer again in heaven.

Jennifer and her family were such a beautiful blessing to Black Fox Elementary. Her volunteer spirit and generosity to “the least of these” set her apart. She will be missed and remembered by our school family. Our prayers are with her precious family.

Jennifer always had the kindest, most loving spirit. She came to see me after I had my second baby and helped me to see that lack of sleep was just part of being a mom and that it wouldn’t last forever. She always encouraged me and those around her. I will always remember her beautiful smile.  I’m praying for David, and the whole family.

Jennifer was the nicest, most kind soul.  I’m honored to have called her my friend.  Fall break of 2021, our families went to Myrtle Beach together.  She wanted Will to have friends at the beach his senior year and she made that happen.   It was a special time that we all will cherish forever. Jennifer was an incredibly  warm and loving friend and she will be greatly missed.  We met at Woodland Park and her love for Jesus always shinned.  Our prayers are with David and the children. We are blessed to have called Jennifer our friend and can picture her in the loving arms of Jesus. 

I met Jen when Will and Cole (my grandson) were in Black Fox 1st grade.Jen had a servant's heart.She did what needed to be done to help the school.One thing that stands out to me was I remember she gave the cafeteria staff Christmas Presents in the form money for them to spent on their families.Jen did many things  behind the scenes,With her Godly heart she went about his work!I will always remember her beautiful smile and her love for others.Jen rest you are home. I have lots of fond memories of Jennifer. We went all through school together, went to church together, and played together as kids.
