Jeanette McGhee

Jeanette Woodard McGhee, 66, passed away on Monday afternoon, August 8th, 2022 in her home in New York City. Born in Chattanooga, TN, on Aug. 26, 1955, Jeanette was the eldest daughter of the late Willie Lewis and Otha Mae Woodard.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her sister, Juliet White, her father, Willie Lewis Woodard, and her mother, Otha Mae Woodard.

Jeanette was a graduate of Riverside High School class of 1973 and later received her Master's degree in Social Work at Columbia University in 2005.

Jeanette is survived by her life partner, David K, McGhee; son, Carlos McGhee; siblings, Alvin Woodard and Marvin Woodard; grandson, Jeramy McGhee; granddaughter, Aubrey McGhee; a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 27th, at 11:30am at Advantage Funeral Services 1724 McCallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN.

Graveside will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery, St. Elmo.
