She was born in Nashville, Tennessee to Wilma Janette Thompson Shannon and James T. Shannon in the summer of 1946.
Jane was an ardent and faithful member the Ooltewah Baptist Church. Aside from serving the Lord, she enjoyed several hobbies such as gardening, baking, quilting, sewing, but her greatest joy came from being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents Wilma Janette and James T. Shannon.
Jane is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Charles O. Watts; brother, Jim T. Shannon (Rebecca); three beloved children, Charles S. Watts (Mary), Amy J. Sales (Brian), Nicholas S. Watts (Taylor); precious grandchildren, Charlie, Henry, and Rosemary Watts, Will Sales, Eliza and Gentry Watts; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
A very special celebration of Jane's life will be held from 2 - 5 pm, Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 6626 Ooltewah Georgetown Road, Ooltewah, TN 37363.
