James Edward Riggins

He is preceded in death by his father, James Riggins, Jr; sisters, Deloria Riggins Morris and Cynthia Rice.

James attended Riverside High School.

He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. James was a kind person and a man who loved spending time with family and friends. His love of reading, passion for sports and zest for life will be greatly missed. He was adored and loved by all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his memories a loving daughter, Tanika Riggins; mother Airlean Riggins Hutchins; sister, Loretta Rice Stubbs; grandson, Malachi Foster all of Chattanooga, TN; aunt Dorothy McDaniel of Nashville, TN; nieces, Michalle Morris (Joseph) McClendon and Miranda High (Vesta, Sr.) Melvin; nephews, Shedrick Riggins, Carlus Rice, Ramone Bragg, Myron Riggins and David Stubbs all of Chattanooga, Calvin (Nina) Stubbs, Jr. of Pensacola, FL; a host of great nieces and great nephews; other relatives and devoted friends Patricia Jones, James (Olivia) Pratt, Raymond ‘Lucky’ Jones and the Landmon family.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 3:00 pm in the Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services-Franklin-Strickland Chapel.
