James Lynn Johnson

James L Johnson age 88 went home to be with the Lord on February 27, 2023.

He was born in Dunlap, TN on July 8, 1934 to the late Mitchell and Ethel Johnson. Mr. Johnson graduated from Sequatchie High School in 1952.

He was a member of Concord Baptist where he served on the Finance Committee and as a Deacon.

Mr. Johnson was active in banking for over 44 years. Started his career at Hamilton Bank and retired from Pioneer Bank.

He was preceded in death by his wife Martha Johnson of 65 years, Mitchell and Ethel Johnson, brother, Leonard and David Johnson along with his grandson Joey Johnson.

He is survived by his sons Joe Johnson, Tim Johnson and wife Cindy Johnson, brother Chester D Johnson. Two grandchildren Jessica Johnson and Ashley Johnson. Two great grandchildren Madeline Doval and Daniel Johnson.

Family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at the Chattanooga Funeral Home, East Brainerd Chapel. Funeral services will at 10:00 am on Friday, March 3, 2023 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow the service in Greenwood Cemetery.
