Mr. Smith was a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was retired from Ivey Mechanical Company after 25 years of service.
Survivors include a daughter, Kim; sons, James (Denise), Brent(Michelle), and Jack (Leah); brother, Steve; sisters, Lynn, Wanda, Patsy, Glenda, and Doris; ten grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home from 4-8 Tuesday, October 17.
Funeral services will be 11:00 Wednesday, October 18 in the Valley View Chapel. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
