A native of Tampa, Florida, she had lived in Chattanooga since childhood. Inda was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and retired from TVA after 25 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Echart; parents, Robert and Lena Mae Smith and two brothers, Benjamin H. and William R. Smith.
Survivors include her sister, Sara Ann (Robert) Fortson of Chattanooga; brother, Robert B. Smith of Auburn Alabama; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at East Brainerd Chapel from 6 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, Sept. 25. A service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday at East Brainerd Chapel with Rev. Don Allison officiating; interment at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
