He was born in Jasper, TN on January, 26th, 1928 to the late James “Eddie” and
Margaret Graham.
He was always an avid sports fan and a competitive athlete well into his 70’s. In his younger days if it involved a ball and he played it, he excelled at it. He served his country for two years in the U.S. Army and then went on to Georgia Tech
where he was on the Varsity baseball team while earning his Bachelors and Masters Degree in Industrial Management. After working for several manufacturing companies in Chattanooga, he finally started his own engineering and steel fabrication company, Graco Incorporated, in 1962, which he successfully ran until selling the company and retiring in 1999.
Hal was of the Christian faith and was very active in the Ooltewah United Methodist Church for over forty five years.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, James E. and Margaret Graham and his sister, Helen Marshall.
He is survived by his wife of sixty five years, Mary Graham, his sister Anne, brother Ralph, son Eddie Graham, daughter Debi Graham, and two granddaughters, Katherine Graham and Natalie Graham.
The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm, Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm, Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Reverend Dwight Kilbourne officiating. Interment will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
