Harry Eugene Marshall

Harry E. Marshall, age 91, of Chattanooga went home to be with the Lord Sunday, February 28, 2016 in a local healthcare facility. He was born March 5, 1924 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to the late Ernest H. and Gladys P. Marshall.

He was a member of Brainerd Hills Baptist Church and a National Member at Large of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Mr. Marshall was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army Air Corp serving during WWII.

He was a graduate of East Tennessee State University and a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He went on to receive his Masters of Science Degree from Bradley University.

His wife, Patty E. Marshall, two sisters, Hazel Bates and Helen Hilliard sister-in-law, Inez Bell and a cousin Leta Perrigo preceded him in death.

Survivors include his children, Curtis G. Marshall of Canton, Georgia, Janice Williams of Chattanooga, Tennessee and John Marshall of Harrison, Tennessee; sisters, Hope Holt of Sevierville, Tennessee, Peggy Hothem of Tampa, Florida, Mary Crowley of Orlando, Florida, and Linda Riner of Surgoinsville, Tennessee; brothers, Harley Marshall of Sevierville, Tennessee and Herman Marshall of Tampa, Florida; sister-in-law, Lois Gibson of Hixson, Tennessee; grandchildren, Steven Williams of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Barrett Williams of Boynton, Georgia, and Kara Marshall of Canton, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Skylar and Landon Williams of Boynton, Georgia; niece, Cathy Cabrera of Austin, Texas and numerous other nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 1, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. and Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 12-1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the East Brainerd Chapel with Dr. Richard Mason officiating.

Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Military Honors.
