Mr. Brown was a loving, hardworking family man that made friends where ever he went. He was born and raised in Clinton, Massachusetts and right from the start he was a hard worker, helping his dad in the ‘butter store’. He was a mason, a fireman, a policeman and worked on the ambulance squad (which he help start) after moving to the neighboring town of Lancaster. He loved the outdoors; camping, fishing, and hunting. He also took up motorcycle riding and was part of a chess club. He worked as a machinist in a printing press in his earlier years and than as a mechanic/salesman for a chiropractic company, traveling all over New England, from which he retired. In the course of his life, he also loved to travel and see new things. After retirement, he combined his love for traveling and camping to tour the country. He ended up spending his summers in Colorado and winters in Biloxi, Mississippi (until Katrina changed the area) and then wintered in Arizona. When it became more difficult for him to care for himself, he moved in with his daughter, Lora and her family, where he was loved and cared for until his declining health led him to live at Life Care Center where he was also loved and cared for until his passing.
Surviving are his son, George (wife-Kim) Brown, Jr.; daughters, Janet Brown and Lora (husband - Douglas) Frood; grandchildren, Kyle Brown, Elizabeth Neal, Joshua (fiancée, Morgan Carter) Ford, Meagan (Mike Linton) Ford and James Frood; brother, Larry “Charlie” Brown; sisters, Judith and Nancy; former wife, Evelyn Brown; and many nieces/nephews and other friends/relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland (Tim) and Caroline Brown; brothers, Richard (Dick) and Robert (Bob) Brown; and sister-in-law, Diane Brown as well as many other friends/relatives.
