Geneva L. Nichols, 88, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away Saturday morning, November 26, 2011 at her residence. A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, she was a graduate of Tyner High School, class of 1941 Valedictorian. She was also a charter member of the Hickory Valley Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a brother, A.C. Duncan and a sister, Elsie Shelton Bandroski. Survivors include her husband Ralph W. Nichols; brother, Rev. John E. Duncan, Columbiana, AL and four nephews, Larry Duncan, Charles Duncan, Jack Shelton and Paul Shelton. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
