He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and was a member the Hill City Masonic Lodge.
Floyd retired from Container Corporation with over 40 years of service.
He was a member of Eastview Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Robinson, son, E. L. Robinson, daughter, Darlene White, brother, Albert Robinson, and sister, Mary Ruth Phillips.
Survivors include his son, Butch (Barbara Ann) Robinson, of South Pittsburg, TN, three grandsons, Scottie, Mike and David Robinson, seven great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Holder and Rev. Daniel Dowden officiating. Burial will follow in Sylar Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home and Masonic rites will be conducted at 7:30 p.m.
