Esther Tyler

Esther Virginia Tyler was born on July 19, 1938 in Lansing Michigan, to the late Rhoda and Henry Tyler. She passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023, at her home in Ringgold, Georgia after a 6 year battle with cancer.

Her sister, Ruth Tyler Strefling, nephew, Rob Haas and his son, Jacob, and eight first cousins survive her.

During her lifetime, she was a Librarian at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, for over 40 years. She loved to read and travel in the United States and abroad. She found genealogy of great interest and was a member of the Daughters of America as well as the Alden Kindred of America.

Hers was a life well-lived and now she rests.

A visitation for Esther will be held Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

A funeral service will occur on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the funeral home.

An interment will occur Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 6:00 PM at Collegedale Memorial Park, 4829 College Drive East, Collegedale, TN 37315.
