Elizabeth Rowland Prince

She was born October 21, 1923 in Murfreesboro, TN to the late W.L. and Jessie Rowland. She had one brother, James Rowland, who was preceded her in death.

Elizabeth was a loving Mother and Nana to her two daughters and two grandsons. She was a homemaker and loved the game of bridge which she still played up to age 91, before her health began to decline.

She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church and former member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughters Becky (Ralph) Jordan of Alpharetta, GA and Leanne (Lee) Lester of Chattanooga, TN; grandsons Jason “J.T.” Shull of San Jose, CA and Drew Jordan of Atlanta, GA; several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Elmcroft of Hamilton Place and Avalon Hospice for all the loving care and compassion shown to our mother.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at: alz.org or to Avalon Hospice at: 7625 Hamilton Park Drive, #19, Chattanooga, TN 37421.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with the Rev. Don Allison officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. till 12 noon Friday before the service at the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 8214 East Brainerd Road.
