She was a graduate of Atlantic Union College in Massachusetts and was a member of McDonald Road Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Her husband, Richard Torsney preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Kaitlyn Torsney; granddaughter, Charlotte Ruby Torsney of Calhoun; daughter, Denise Torsney; brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Linda Schultz and David and Elaine Schultz of Ooltewah;
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at McDonald Road Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Don Gettys officiating. Burial will follow at Collegedale Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at the Valley View Chapel and Sunday from 2-3 p.m. at the Church prior to the service.
Arrangements are by the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist 7414 Old Lee Highway, Chattanooga, Tennessee.
