Mrs. Griffin was a very loving, compassionate, generous and caring person. She was a dedicated Christian woman, a longtime member of Greenwood Baptist Church and loved her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry D. Griffin; parents, William C. and Berta M. Jones; sister, Catherine Champion; and brother, William Buddy Jones.
Surviving are her children, Bobbie (Lewis) Capehart, Buck (Rhonda) Griffin, Jimmy (Kathy) Griffin, Kathy (Ray) Christison, Wayne (Pam) Griffin and Billy (Judy) Griffin; grandchildren, Tyson (Ashley) Capehart, Craig (Amy) Griffin, Mindy (Chris) Smith, Corey (Jennifer) Griffin, Bo Christison, Jeremy (Katrina) Griffin, Brittany (Zack) Haney, Chris Higdon and B. J. Griffin; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be at 1 PM on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Greenwood Baptist Church (8529 Snow Hill Rd, Ooltewah, TN 37363) with visitation from 11 AM to 1 PM at the church. Rev. Chad Chandler will officiate. Burial will follow at McInturff Cemetery.
