Debbie was employed with the City of Chattanooga as Coordinator in Neighborhood Services for many years. She was active in the Hamilton County Democratic Party and was an avid baseball fan. She attended Christ United Methodist Church.
Her father, Carl D. Johnson preceded her in death.
Survivors include her mother, Maggie Johnson; sister, Jeanne Johnson Callaway; nieces, Kelsay Callaway and Lindsay Callaway all of Chattanooga; aunt and uncle, Diana and William F. Kelsay of Byron, Georgia; and cousins, William F. Kelsay, II, Angela Kelsay, and Margaret Kelsay.
Memorial services will be held Friday, August 23, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the East Brainerd Chapel with Rev. David Hall officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
