He was born on August 12, 1940 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to the late Paul and Lucille Lucas. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rogelia S. Lucas and brother, John Lucas.
David received his Bachelor’s degree at Oklahoma State and his Master’s degree at the University of Southern California. He was a proud Eagle Scout and avid gardener. David faithfully served our country for 20 years and retired as a Major in the US Air Force.
Survivors include his sons, Robert (Katriona) Lucas, Christopher (Kara) Lucas, grandchildren, Kyle, Blair, Graham, Grace, sister, Mary (Randy) Rudisell, sister-in-law, Connie Lucas and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Plumlee officiating. Interment to follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
