Daniel Keith Forseth, a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, cousin, and coach passed away suddenly on June 23, 2023, at the age of 65. Born on February 12, 1958, in Oakland, California, Daniel led a life marked by dedication, service, and love for his family. Preceded in death by his Father, Harold Forseth and Mother, Jacqueline Forseth.
Daniel's early years were shaped by his commitment to serving his country. He joined the Navy and spent a significant part of his military career aboard the USS Henry B Wilson, serving with honor and devotion. His time in the Navy instilled in him a sense of duty and a deep appreciation for camaraderie and teamwork.
After his military service, Daniel embarked on a 34-year-long career at AT&T, where he made lasting contributions and earned the respect of his colleagues. He met his loving wife Lyn there in 1988 and they were married three years later on June 15, 1991. After years of medical leave Daniel officially retired in 2023, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and hard work.
Outside of his professional life, Daniel found joy and fulfillment in spending time with his loved ones and pursuing his passions. He had a deep love for golf, softball, fishing, and poker. He loved engaging in friendly competition and building cherished memories with dear friends. Aside from that he enjoyed coaching his daughter Chelsea for many years of soccer and softball.
Daniel's family was the cornerstone of his existence, and he was a devoted husband, father, and grandpa. He shared a deep and enduring bond with his wife, Lyn. Daniel was a pillar of strength and support to his daughters, Chelsea Hailey (Bret) and Stacey Siqueiros (Doug), providing unwavering love and guidance throughout their lives.
Daniel was a beloved brother to Stephen (Carolann), Harold Jr. (Barbara), and Brian (Kim), and he cherished the bond they shared. He was a source of strength and support for his siblings, and their family ties were marked by love and lifelong shenanigans. Daniel also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and cousins who will remember him fondly.
Nothing brought Daniel more joy than his role as a grandfather. His two grandchildren, Sawyer and Ryan Hailey, held a special place in his heart, and he adored them more than words can express. In his later years, he devoted much of his time to watching Sawyer play baseball and engaging in all the activities that brought his grandchildren happiness.
Daniel Keith Forseth will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love for his family and friends will forever be remembered and cherished. May his soul find eternal peace, may Heaven have all of the Starbucks he could want, and may he be free from all pain.
