He attended Central High School.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Lee Bradford Sr.; sister, Veronica Young; and brother, Frederick.
Charles is survived by his mother, Mary Bradford; sisters, Antoinetta Newby and Dorene (Kedrick) Wooten; children, Barbara, Brea, Kendra, Mallory Vaughn, Valorie Curington and Damien; uncles, Alec and Jerry Richards; aunt, Rosetta Meacham; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and dear friends;
