Catheryn Elizabeth Starkey

She was the daughter of the late Alton and Vera McArthur and was preceded in death by her husband, Clem R. Starkey, two brothers, Norman McArthur, Willie Gray McArthur and three sisters, Ophelia Johnson, Kate Thomas and Patricia McArthur.

Catheryn’s greatest love in life was her family.

She was a member of Brainerd Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Catheryn (Michael) Striebel, of Chattanooga, step-son, Gregory (Alice) Starkey, of Virginia Beach, VA, two grandchildren, Nathaniel Konsavage, Austen Starkey, three brothers, Sam McArthur, John McArthur, Rex McArthur, sister, Edna Kelly, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 5:00 p.m., Sunday at Brainerd Presbyterian Church, 1624 Jenkins Road with Rev. Jonathan Schwartz officiating. Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m., Sunday at Brainerd Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Brainerd Presbyterian Church Memorial Program or Hearth Hospice.
