Carol Ann Daniel Cross, 54, of Chattanooga, was born on March 21, 1957, and claimed victory in Jesus over her battle with cancer on Thursday, December 8, 2011. Carol was born in Lafayette, GA, and spent her childhood in Cleveland, TN. She graduated from Bradley Central High School in 1974, where she was a member of the 1973 girls basketball state championship team. She worked in the dental field for more than 20 years. After moving to Chattanooga, Carol changed careers, and became a very successful salesperson. Carol loved life. She enjoyed travel, working on her flower garden and, most of all, spending time with her beloved family and friends on her boat on the river. She was preceded in death by her father, Marcus Lowe Daniel, and sister, Sheila Daniel. She is survived by her loving fiance, Keith McAlpin, daughter, Piper Cross Wilson, son-in-law, Stephen Wilson, the lights of her life-her grandchildren, Cooper and Caroline Wilson, mother, Mildred Daniel, sisters Gail Howard, Dee Sherlin, Donna Coe, Karen Narramore, brother, Stoney Daniel, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Christ United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Davis and Rev. Art Jones officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
