Bob Wilson

Virgil Robert “Bob” Wilson – 77, of Apison, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2010.

He was the son of the late Jim and Cora Wilson and was preceded in death by his daughter, Faye Choate, brothers, Kenneth “Purcheye” Wilson, Herman Wilson, Willard “Puddin” Wilson and sister, Betty Leach.

He was raised in the Methodist faith and was a veteran of the U. S. Army.

Bob retired, after 40 years of service, from Coors Company in Chattanooga where he worked in the Technical Ceramic Division. His lifelong passion was frequenting auctions and finding antique treasures. Bob opened a store, in the summer of 1992, called General Antique and Resale.

Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Wilson, son, James R. “Jimmy” Wilson, grandson, Jeremiah Wilson, great grandson, Cody Wilson, sister, Margaret Parker, all of Apison, TN., and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday at Plowman Cemetery in Apison, Tennessee.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
