Billie Lewis Henderson

She was the daughter of the late John Lewis, Sr., and Lillie Byrd Lewis and was preceded in death by her sister, Iris Carter.

Billie retired from the billboard industry after 30 years as a customer service representative. She loved flowers and enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening. Her greatest joy came from her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren.

She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her two children, Ryan Henderson (Annie), Heather Oliver (Jeff), both of Chattanooga, three grandchildren, Landon, Lillie Kate and Jackson, sister, Sandy Alexander (Jim), brother, John Lewis, Jr., (Evie), sister, Jan Shockley (Phillip), and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 21, 2023 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm, at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Jeanie Christian with Aging Care Management, Sherry and Bylinda with Hearth Hospice and the staff of Martin Boyd Christian Home especially the Memory Care Unit and special caregivers Shay, DeeDee, Kim, Charity, Kelly, Chuck, Tracy, Marsha, Dee and many others whose love and care for Billie will never be forgotten.
