Anita was the daughter of the late Jesse Earl and Winifred Smith Ford. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking and gardening. Anita was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, and she belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Forrest Bugher, Jr.; sisters, Jeannine Wright and Cynthia Ann Ford; brothers, Stanley Ford, Kenneth Ford, Zenas Ford and Richard Ford.
Anita is survived by her children, Donette (Phil) Satterfield, Larry (Inge) McAllister, and Scott McAllister; grandchildren, Alexandria Satterfield, Jordan Satterfield, Christopher McAllister, and Jeffrey McAllister; great-grandchildren, Emma McAllister and Benjamin McAllister; also several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association at: heart.org or the Children’s Advocacy Center of Hamilton County at: cachc.org.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Valley View Chapel with the Rev. David Hall officiating. Entombment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Monday evening at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
