He was born on May 28, 1956 to Christine McClendon and Percy Plummer.
He attended Chattanooga public Schools. Alonzo accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of New Enon Baptist Church.
Alonzo enjoyed fishing, gospel music and most of all he loved spending quality time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Christine McClendon; father, Percy Plummer; brothers, Roland, Michael, Ronnie, Carl and Terry McClendon; grandparents, Henry and Evalene Phillips; 3 aunts, Thelma Reid, Louise Preston, Viola Phillips; and uncle, Robert Alexander.
Those he leaves behind to cherish is memories are wife, Sharon McClendon; twin brother, Alfonzo McClendon; sisters, Linda McClendon, Teresa Plummer, Lisa Plummer; stepdaughter, Brenda McCullough; uncle, Charles (Viola) Phillips of Cleveland, OH; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
A Lie-In-State will be Friday, March 26, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm and on Saturday, March 27th from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm in the Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services-Franklin-Strickland Chapel.
Funeral Services will be on Saturday, March 27th at 1:30 in the Chapel.
Interment will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
