Susan E. Allison of Chatham passed away peacefully on August 14th. 2024. She was the loving and dedicated daughter of Clarence E. Allison and Anna E. (Garnett) Allison. West Chatham was always home to Sue although she ventured off to Nantucket and Florida for a few years.
Sue was a talented artist and baker selling the most delicious bread at her stand in Chatham and in Hyannis in the 1970s.
Sue, affectionately, known as "Suey" was a true humanitarian and animal lover. She will be fondly remembered for her generosity and compassion for those in need. Playing a pivotal role in her nieces and nephews lives. She taught everyone to laugh a little longer and sing a little louder. Her noble ideals and bohemian spirit will live a little in all of us. She made a difference to many and asked for so little in return.
She is survived by her brother Jay Allison of Texas, sisters Ellen Goode of Harwichport and Robin Welsh of Chatham. Predeceased by her parents, Clarence E. Allison and Anna (Garnett) Allison of West Chatham and Henry Allison of Chatham.
In remembrance of Sue, a service will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 310 MA-137, Harwich, MA on September 6, 2024 at 12:00 pm.
