Richard (Dick) McCoy died on November 4th peacefully at home surrounded by family at the age of 93. He was born in 1931 in Cambridge, MA., son of Pearl and Franklin McCoy. He was educated in Newton, Ma schools and graduated high school from Governor`s Academy in 1950. After graduating from Middlebury College in 1954 he was drafted into the US Army and while on leave he married Judy McCoy from Scranton, Pa. Together they raised two daughters, Linda and Carrie. After the Army Dick joined Eastman Kodak Company where he worked for his entire career finishing as Director of Marketing and worked at Kodak locations in Detroit, Dallas, Chicago and Rochester, NY. He retired in 1985 and moved to Chatham, Ma.
During retirement Dick enjoyed fishing, bee keeping, golfing, vegetable gardening and extensive world travel. Dick had an amazing zest for life, terrific sense of humor and a curiosity about all things that continued up to his last days.
Dick is survived by his wife Judy (married 69 years!), daughters Linda Johnston (Doug), Carrie Bush (Philip); four granddaughters; Liz Johnston (Scott Tanner), Jenny Johnston ( Cariad Chester ), Alden Bush and Avery Bush ( Doug Murphy) and great grandson Andy Johnston.
