Born in Arlington MA 1933 to Herbert A. and Genevieve Timmins.
He was the beloved husband of Anne M. (Curtin) Timmins. He was predeceased by his wife Joan P. and his son Thomas R. He is survived by his daughters, Christine (John) Poulter, Julie (Glenn) Dalrymple, Maureen (Paul) Smith and Kathleen (Charles) Thomas, and his son Paul.
Norbert worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 35 years. He was a graduate of Arlington High School and Boston College, where he played hockey. He participated in the first Bean Pot Hockey Tournament. He also coached youth hockey in Belmont for many years. He was a communicant at Holy Redeemer Church. He was the former President of St Vincent de Paul and the Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus in Chatham. He was a recipient of the Marian Award.
He is also survived by his nine grandchildren, Erinn, Megan, Kevin, Kelsey, Kaitlin, Tyler, Nicole, Mitchell and Siobhan. Six great-grandchildren, Madeline, Emmett, Kelton, Conor, Levi and Lyla. His sisters Paula McColgan and Ruth Egan (deceased).
Visiting hours will be at Nickerson Funeral Home, 87 Crowell Road, Chatham, MA, held on Monday, October 16, 2023 from 4pm to 7pm. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Grace Chapel in Chatham. Norbert will be buried at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA at a later date.
