Kirwan was born on September 24, 1944 in Ronceverte, West Virginia and was the son of Alfred Leo Morgan and Helen Virginia Honaker Morgan.
Kirwan worked as an engineer for both Bell and NYNEX for almost 30 years. When he relocated to the Cape he transitioned to a second career as a realtor. Kirwan loved Chatham and loved showing it to people considering a new place to call home, making many lifelong friends in the process.
Kirwan enjoyed reading, playing cards, collecting and watching movies, following the WVU sports teams, tending his vegetable garden and was fascinated with tracing his family tree.
Most of all, Kirwan loved his family. He shared his love freely and often, giving advice, support and also grand speeches about how Ann was the love of his life and his children and grandchildren were so important to him. He often reduced the room to tears and loved every second of it.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Ann Marie Rondeau Morgan and his brother Nicholas Barry Morgan.
Kirwan leaves behind his daughter Kim Brisbois (Dave) of Danvers, MA, son Ben Morgan (Heather) of Chatham, MA, 5 loving grandchildren, brother JD Morgan of French Creek, WV and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.
