Harold Robert Jenkins, son of Harold J. and Ruth A. Jenkins, was born on August 17th, 1927. He was known by many as Bob. He had two brothers Paul and Ed. Bob grew up in Stoughton, MA, went to Boston Trade High School, and earned his Master Plumber’s License at a very young age. In 1955, he married Joyce Gwynne Poole whom he often referred to as his beautiful wife. Together they had four daughters, Beth, Susan, Nancy, and Lisa. In his youth Bob was a Merchant Marine and he often told his daughters tales about his journeys. He started his own Plumbing and Heating business in 1956. Living with his family on Cape Cod, he and his wife Joy ran his companies H.R. Jenkins Plumbing & Heating and Jenkins Rentals in Chatham, MA. His daughters remember him working on plumbing jobs and lowering prices or repairing things for free if he found out the people were in need. In 1962, Bob and his brother Paul began a partnership and started Jenkins Well Drilling. In the late seventies, Bob, Joy, and their daughters moved to Jupiter, FL. for part of each year, always returning to the Cape for the opening of the cottages in the spring. Into his eighties he kept an active mind by taking and excelling in continuing education classes. Bob enjoyed bee keeping and beachcombing with his wife and will be remembered as a creative collector. His family was his life. He was always very sad to say goodbye to family and he always wanted them to know how much he loved them. Bob is survived by his wife Joy, his daughters, Beth Sullivan, Susan Koscielny, Nancy Jenkins, Lisa Jenkins-Wagner, their families, and his brother, Ed and his family. He is also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in law and their families. Bob is now with his Lord in heaven. He will be greatly missed.
