He was the husband of Diane (Dugan) Bronsdon for 45 years
Born on July 2, 1928 in Boston, he grew up in Newton, Massachusetts. As a youth, he spent his summers in West Harwich with his family. He graduated from Newton High School and attended Rutgers University. He was drafted to serve in the Korean War, and he was stationed in Korea. He then attended the University of Oklahoma. He returned to West Harwich, where he engaged in the building trade specializing in masonry, and he later built his home in Chatham. Although primarily an outdoorsman, who raised golden retrievers, he became one of the few Duplicate Bridge Life Masters on the Cape in the 1960’s.
Frank was devoted to his family and he will be greatly missed by his wife, Diane, his three children Jennifer Bronsdon and her husband Michael Begley of Milton, MA; Christopher Bronsdon and his wife Jennifer of San Marcos, California; Peter Bronsdon of San Diego, California and his three grandchildren: Caitlin Bronsdon, Joseph Bronsdon and Harris Begley.
Frank was predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Annie Bronsdon, his three brothers Harold Bronsdon, William Bronsdon and Howard Bronsdon and his sister Gladys Bronsdon.
A celebration of his life will be held Friday, December 27th at the Nickerson Funeral Home, 87 Crowell Road, Chatham from 3 to 5 p.m, followed by a reception at the Chatham Village Hall, 2567 Main Street, South Chatham. Burial will be private in the family plot in Milton, Massachusetts.
Frank loved sports. He particularly enjoyed the many years he spent shepherding his sons to hockey games in New England, Canada and Europe.
