Loring, Albert Bernard, 90, of Harwich, passed away on June 6, 2014. Al was born in 1924 to Albert and Phoebe (Dunham) Loring. Al was predeceased by his first wife Loretta Crawley Loring in 1987 after 43 years of marriage. Al was a proud member of the U.S. Army, fighting in the Tank Division on the frontlines during World War II. Loretta was the glue that held the family together, especially after Al returned from the war. Al and Loretta lived in Provincetown until 1954 until moving to Chatham. They were blessed with four children: Patricia, Andrea, Bradley, and Michael, he will be greatly missed by his grandchildren: William Lee, Lorne Henry, Christopher Gene, Tabatha, Lori Lynn, Christine, and Katie and his loving great grandchildren: Lyndsay, Sadie Rose, Nicholas, Gabrielle, Marc, Crosby, Rhys, and Christopher James. Al found love again in 1991 and married his beloved second wife Bernece Ford, with whom they shared 22 years together before her passing in 2012. He will be missed by his close friends Scott and Patty Hagan, Jerry Friend and his amazing dogs Mercci, Puddles, and Rick.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 16 at 10:00 AM at Holy Redeemer Church, 57 Highland Ave., Chatham. Burial will follow at Peoples Cemetery, Chatham.
