Tommie was born in Christopher, IL, on January 21, 1951, the son of Thomas and Dorothy Milosevich Milcic. He married Deborah Kay Tabaka in Litchfield, IL, on June 11, 1983.
Tommie graduated from Zeigler-Royalton High School. He then attended the University of Illinois where he played on the football team. Tommie graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a degree in engineering. He enjoyed sports, fishing, coaching, building, cooking, and dancing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Bob.
Tommie is survived by his wife, Debbie; sons, T.J. (Leigh Anne) Milcic of Olive Branch, MS, and Matt (Katie Rockwood) Milcic of Chatham; daughter, Meghan (Conner) Hourihan of Reno, NV; granddaughters, Annabelle, Elle, Reese, and James; first grandson on the way; siblings, Diane, Karen, and Sharon (Gary); and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial Gathering and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the ceremony at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home- Chatham, 8855 State Rt. 4, Chatham. Tommie’s dear friend, Marion Poggas, will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
