Brent was born August 7, 1991, in Springfield, IL, the son of Michael Garvin Jr. and Sheri Coons Rainey.
Brent attended Trinity Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Lutheran High School in 2009. He also attended Lincoln Land Community College. Brent loved traveling and having the opportunity to see a lot of places in the world. Brent loved spoiling his nieces and nephews, and he was loved by many.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Bonnie Coons; and grandfather, Jeffrey Dooley.
Brent is survived by his mother, Sheri Rainey of Springfield; father, Michael (Jennifer) Garvin Jr. of Chatham; partner, Mar Louie Madalipay Mayubay of Crestwood, IL; grandparents, Mike Sr. and Sharon Garvin of Auburn, Ginny Rizutto of Indianapolis, IN, and Mary Dooley of Taylorville; and siblings, Megan (Johnny Spivey) Garvin of Chatham, Marissa (Aubrey Walker) Garvin of Riverton, Mariela Garvin of Chatham, and Bernice “Meme” Little of Springfield; stepsisters, Olivia and Lydia Rainey; nieces, Dyxxie Spivey, Ryleigh, and Kolbie; nephews, Hunter and Hayden Lewis; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home-Chatham, 8855 State Route 4, Chatham, IL.
Funeral Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home-Chatham with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating.
Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
