Tracey was born on July 17, 1974, in Charlottesville, Va. She was a 1992 graduate of Charlottesville High School, received her associate’s degree from Piedmont Virginia Community College and also attended Mary Baldwin College online. Tracey loved her job, bosses and coworkers at LumaCyte where she used her organizational talents as an office manager. The family appreciates all the love and support her company has shown. Tracey’s kind, curious, funny, incredibly generous spirit blessed all who knew her. Few have consistently shown a more fierce and loyal love. Tracey knew God’s grace in her own life and was determined to share that with others. She spent most of her adult life fostering homeless dogs and cats until they found their forever homes, adopting many of those over the years and leaves behind Annie and Leo.
Tracey had many interests including fishing, hiking, cooking, photography, and keeping up with the latest Apple technology. Tracey’s biggest love was spending time with family. She always looked forward to Thanksgivings in Gatlinburg, Tenn., with her parents, sister, nieces, beloved aunts, uncles and cousins from Miss., Ga., Calif., and Northern Va.
Tracey was preceded in death by her Grandma and Papa Green and Granny and Papa Wingfield. Tracey is now reunited with friends from long ago, Sandra Long and Laura Taylor. Tracey is survived by her devoted parents, Clinton “Clint” and Lynda (Kinard) Wingfield of Charlottesville, Va.; her loving sister, Christine “Christy” Mitchell and two adored nieces, Campbell and Chelsea Mitchell of Glen Allen, Va.; aunts, uncles, and several cousins whom she loved very much.
