Patricia Gail Pritt

Patricia “Gail” Pritt, 70, of Ruckersville passed away on June 15, 2023 at UVA Hospital with her beloved family by her side. Gail native to Gastonia, NC was born on October 8, 1952 to the late Jack Simonds Sr. and Shirley Simonds. Gail was a stranger to no one, making family of all she met. She was the best mother, Maw-Maw and great Maw-Maw; her door was always open. She took pride in being able to give to those during their time of need. She was a faithful member of Daystar Worship Center in Gordonsville. She lived her faith. In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her first husband, Nick Moneymaker and her second husband, Joseph Pritt; her sister, Darlene Smith; and her granddaughter, Kristin Conley. Gail is survived by her sons, Jerry Moneymaker and his wife Lorrie, Joe Moneymaker and his wife, Meredith; her daughter, Kim Volker and her husband, Joe; her grandchildren, Coty Hargrove and her husband Cory, Kaitlyn Morris, Maddie Morris, Tyler Morris, Taylor Moneymaker, Montana Robbins, Zach Robbins, Gage Rollins and Kenzie Tillman; and her great-grandchildren, Alaina Thomas, Layla Thomas, Ava Thomas and Rowan Hargrove. Gail is also survived by her siblings, Evelyn, Carolyn, Roxanne, Linda, Jack Jr., Loretta and David; and a host of extended family. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm – 8:00pm on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Teague Funeral Service, 2260 Ivy Rd. Charlottesville, VA 22903. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Mount Moriah United Methodist Church, 4524 Garth Rd. Charlottesville, VA 22901. Interment will immediately follow in the Church Cemetery. The family would like to give special thanks to Gail’s care team, specifically Dr. John McGovern, Dr. Hannah Mannem, Dr. Richard Hall, Marie Thomas, NP, Nurse Gary, all of the Emily Couric Cancer Center staff and all of the staff of 3 West MICU at UVA Hospital.
