Obituary of Mildred Lucille Ashe Bryant
Mildred Lucille Ashe Bryant, 106, entered Heavens Gate on the morning of September 20, 2024 from her daughters’ home in Charlottesville, Virginia. Mildred was born in Ivy, Virginia, on January 8, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Jon Floyd Griffith Ashe and Minnie Evelyn Gibson Ashe. In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles Hubert Bryant, their son, Charles Leo Bryant, great grandson, Joshua Eugene Bryant; three sisters, Margaretta Louis Bryant, Margaret Evelyn Ashe and Nina Maggie Ashe; three brothers, Samuel David Ashe, James Floyd Ashe and Franklin Lee Ashe; her daughter in law, Patsy Camper Bryant and her son in law, Guy Wayne Taylor. Mrs. Bryant worked for Sperry Marine for 22 years in the wire prep dust free room, second shift. Also worked at the Woolen Mills for 10 years working the spinning wheel to weave clothing for our service men. Mrs. Bryant was a member of the Charlottesville Assembly of God Church. She served as a Sunday school teacher, women's ministry teacher, choir member and served on the mission field. She is survived by 2 daughters, Peggy Bryant Taylor, Evelyn Lorraine Walton and her husband, Frank; one son, James Leon Bryant and his wife, Linda. 7 Grandchildren, Rhonda Wilmore and her husband, Todd, Teresa Bryant and her husband, Roger, Franklin Walton, Jr., Nancey Rodriguez and her husband, Pete, Chris Bryant and his wife, Gail, Angela Breeden and her husband, Ricky, Chrissy Brodt and her husband, Ben. 13 great grandchildren, Franklin Rodriguez, Franklin Walton the third, Elizabeth, Travis, David, Michael, Michaela, Sabrina, Faith, Grant, Wyatt, Ashlyn, Kaiden, Whitleigh, Kamden. 7 great great grandchildren, Jackson, Ivey, Noah, Charlotte, Ezra Joshua, Oliver, Ezra Luis. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Monticello Memory Gardens, 670 Thomas Jefferson Parkway Charlottesville VA 22902 with Brother Ralph Coleman presiding.
