Joyce Ann Dudley, age 69, of Charlottesville, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at her home.Born December 17, 1945 Joyce was a daughter of the late Robert and Louie Mowery Westerfield. She was born in Kansas, heritage in which she was proud of, and later moved to the Charlottesville area.In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Dudley, Sr. on April 8, 1997.Joyce is survived by her children, Debbie Birckhead, Jerry Dudley, Jr and his wife Stacey, and Bobby Dudley and his wife Amy; her grandchildren, Buck, Brian, Tre, Chris, Cody, Kyle, and Dylan; and her great grandchildren, Kylie, Nicholas, Bryson, and Farrah.She was a beloved Post Master at Greenwood Post Office for several years. Joyce was devoted to her job as Post Master and through her love of serving the community it was rewarded to her through the loyal friends she made during her time at Greenwood Post Office. The Dudley family extends their heartfelt appreciation to those who loved and cherished Joyce in the Greenwood community.Joyce's grandchildren were her life and she took pride in each and every one of them. She was known as the Baseball Grandma- traveling to every game and supporting her team as a coach from the stands.A funeral service will be conducted 2 pm Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the Teague Chapel with Sandy Kelso officiating. Interment will follow at Monticello Memory Gardens.The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Teague Funeral Home.
