Joshua Andrew Elliott passed away at his home on Friday November 17, 2017. Josh was born in Charlottesville, Virginia on September 21, 1988, the son of Andrew Marshall Elliott and Linda Thompson Elliott. He attended Charlottesville public schools and had previously worked for Kroger Grocery. In addition to his parents, Josh is survived by his four siblings; Nicholas, Andrea, Matthew, and Audrey all of Charlottesville. The oldest of the five children, Joshua was intimately involved in the care and development of his brothers and sisters, and took deep pride in their successes. His capacity to nurture and express unconditional love to those close to him will be his greatest legacy. As Nick, Annie, Matt, and Audrey continue to change and grow, Josh will surely celebrate their triumphs and delights. He was the ultimate big brother. Also surviving Joshua are his maternal aunts, uncles, and cousins; Alice Thompson, Bertha Thompson and her children Jonathan and Adrian Thompson, Etta and Charles Miller and their children Chris and Shawn Miller, Renne and Cliff Haden and their children Eli and Caleb Haden, Douglas Thompson, Jr. and his children Kye and Keanna Thompson. Joshua was particularly close to his cousin Jonathan. From their earliest childhood they had a special bond and were as close as brothers. Joshua is also survived by his paternal aunts, uncles, and cousins; A.T. and Ellen Waddell and their children Sarah and Tate Waddell, Lee and Diane Graves and their daughter Hunter Graves, Jeff and Margaret Brown and their children, Jay and wife Mayan Brown, and Cody and Erinn Wilder, and Brenda Stover. Joshua loved cooking and tweaking recipes for his family to enjoy. Although his favorite sports were UFC Fighting and boxing Joshua was a gentle and kind spirit. He will be deeply missed by those he loved and who loved him to the moon and back. A memorial service will be conducted 2:00pm Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Teague Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
